SIT Graduate Institute Counseling Services
Students interested in psychological counseling may receive services under an arrangement with the Meyer Treatment Center of the Washington School of Psychiatry. Appointments will be available at the SIT Graduate Center at a designated location. Please click on the link for dates and times.
SIT graduate students can receive up to two counseling appointments per semester without charge. Sessions will be offered in a private area of the 15th Street building and can be scheduled in advance by calling the clinician, Rachel Hoffman at 703-819-6937 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate in your message that you are an SIT graduate student. Appointments will last for 40 minutes. A same day appointment may be possible if the clinician has time available.
SIT students may also utilize the Meyer Treatment Center in Northwest Washington, DC if they are interested in additional psychotherapy or psychiatric services for themselves or family members. Ms. Hoffman can advise students about the Treatment Center’s services and explain how to connect with the intake coordinator for appointments with the Center. This information is also available on the Washington School of Psychiatry’s website www.wspdc.org. The Center is located near the Friendship Heights Metro and is also accessible by bus.
